The Audrey Grace House is a residential treatment center for kids ages 5 – 17 located in Abilene. All our kids have experienced trauma that has created emotional, behavioral, attachment and/or relationship challenges. Overcoming these challenges requires the support of a trauma-informed therapeutic environment that promotes the physical, mental and behavioral health of kids and helps them in developing their coping skills for life. The Audrey Grace House can accommodate up to forty kids at one time and the individual length of stay is between 9 and 12 months.
This posting is for the Audrey Grace House Administrator who is responsible for overseeing a treatment team that understands the impact of trauma and provides kids and their families with solutions for positive outcomes and permanence. The Administrator is responsible for creating a sense of stability for kids by provided a home-like, nurturing environment. We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Administrator to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child and adolescent care, along with proven leadership skills in a residential or therapeutic setting. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional care, fostering a safe and supportive environment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

- Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a team of direct care staff and therapists. Experience with staff training, performance evaluations, and creating a positive work culture.
- Clinical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and therapeutic interventions. Ability to oversee the creation and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations governing residential treatment centers, with the ability to ensure compliance with all legal and licensing requirements.
- Operational Oversight: Excellent organizational skills to manage daily operations, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the facility.
- Crisis Management: Ability to respond effectively to crises, including behavioral issues and emergencies, using de-escalation techniques and managing situations with calm and clarity.
- Family & Community Engagement: Strong communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with residents' families and guardians, keeping them informed and involved in the treatment process.
- Program Development & Improvement: Experience in assessing and enhancing treatment programs to ensure they meet the highest standards of care and support for children and adolescents.
- Qualifications: Master’s Degree preferred, not required. Be a Licensed Child-Care Administrator (LCCA) or eligible to become one. - Qualifications Continued: Possess a minimum of five (5) years in residential child-care treatment with direct responsibility for supervision and development of direct child-care staff, with emphasis on the implementation of child-care programs and the management and coordination of direct care staff. Be able to work under the direct supervision of the Chief Operating Officer with a wide degree of discretion and independent judgment.
Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year*
*Based on experience, educational background and specialized skills.
Working Conditions:
Mixed indoor and outdoor environment, involving continuous interaction with children, requiring flexible hours.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the position including considerable walking, good hearing to assess situations quickly and respond appropriately, the ability to perform CPR and First Aid, and be able to respond when a child is a danger to their self or others including performing physical restraints.
